First marked in 2001, World Refugee Day is held every year on June 20. This year, the UNHCR theme is “1 refugee without hope is too many.” These kids represent hope and the future of many such families that call New Zealand home. Dedicated to the village deity, these festivals draw large crowds in the locality with a lot of song and dance. There’re the drums of course to whip the crowd into a frenzy. India is one of my favourite places to take street photographs. There’s so much life on the streets. The colour, chaos, noise, and more importantly the people, are simply incredible. I can’t wait to go back there for a holiday again.

“It isn’t an easy job to paint oneself – at any rate...

“It isn’t an easy job to paint oneself – at any rate if it is to be different from a photograph.
